The CD1 beam line on ASTRID
Note that the CD beam line was transferred to ASTRID2 in 2014. You can read more about the beamline and current activities here.
Access to the SRCD facility
Anyone is welcome to apply for beam time to carry out experiments on the CD1 beam line. Under the current transnational access programme, CALIPSO there are funds available to support scientists in Europe (not those from within Denmark) to travel to and use the facility. There is an annual call for proposals towards the end of each year and beam time is allocated based on the recommendations of an external panel. However some time is set aside to allow for new or test experiments, so you should contact the beam line scientists to see if it is possible to accommodate you.
If you are interested in submitting a proposal to apply for beam time on ASTRID and have not done so before, we recommend that you contact a beam line scientist first to discuss your project.
