Airports

Atatürk International Airport is located in Yeşilköy, in the European side of Istanbul. The distance from the airport to downtown Istanbul is 28 km, and  4 - 4.5 km to the sea shore.

There are direct buses which run from Atatürk Airport operated by HAVAS which go to Taksim. The stop is ~50-100 m from the Hotel Golden Age 1 where the conference will take place.

From Atatürk airport to Taksim:
   The buses run every 30 minutes from 04:00 to 09:00 (on the hour and the half hour), then every 15 minutes until 01:00.
From Taksim to Atatürk airport:
   The buses run every 30 minutes from 04:00 throughout the day until 01:00 (on the hour and the half hour).

The journey takes around 30-60 min depending on traffic. Late night arrivals please check the timetable. The cost of a ticket on this bus is 10TL (except for travel between 24:00 and 06:00 where it 25% more). (1 euro is approximately 2.2 TL)

A taxi from the airport to the city centre costs approximately 35 TL, cab drivers may accept Euros etc, but not at a good rate. There are also metro/light rail connections, which require several changes to reach the hotel from the airport.

Sabiha Gokcen International Airport is located on the Anatolian shore of Istanbul at Pendik / Kurtkoy, at a distance of 40 km to Kadikoy, 12 km to Pendik and 50 km to Taksim.

There are direct buses which run from Sabiha Gokcen Airport operated by HAVAS which go to Taksim.

From Sabiha Gokcen airport to Taksim:
   The buses are arranged to coincide with the arrivals of flights at the airport and depart ~25 minutes after the flight has landed.
From Taksim to Sabiha Gokcen airport:
   The buses run every hour from 04:00 throughout the day until 01:00 (on the hour).

The journey takes around 60 min depending on traffic. The cost of a ticket on this bus is 10TL (except for travel between 24:00 and 06:00 where it 25% more). (1 euro is approximately 2.2 TL)
