ConSys State Device
Status
The ConSys State device is presently (Juli 2023) in a process of being upgraded.

Overview:
The state system can monitor and log status and alarms in the ConSys control system. It consists of two major parts - the state device server managing the state structures and maintaining the data - and the State monitor program for display and user interaction. This document includes device specific information needed to install and configure a state device in the control system. The state monitor program documentation includes a description of the state device structure.
Device Coniguration:
Common filename (no ext, no path): The filename base used for files stored by the device.
File types:
.sds: State Device Setup. This is the file that stores the controller
.hst: History file. Store the device histories for device parameters.
.cpd: ConSys Persistent Data: Store persistent stored device parameters.
State Device Setup file check number:
From version 1.47.616.232 (23/6-2023) a check number is added to the State Device Setup (sds) file in the end of the file. This check number isused to check for correct read of the SDS file during device setup. If the check number is not read correct a message will be logged to the ConSsy log an ConSysLoader text log and it will not be possible to store persistent data an settings. (Is stored as backup set 3)
Check SDS file: If this bit is set in the device configuration, the device will check the check number in the end of the SDS file when during the device creation. If this check fails, the device will not try to read the history and persistent stored data and will not be able to store any changes to any of the three device files. For a new device, the 'Check SDS file' bit must be cleared until the initial device files have been stored (device closed once).
Backup files:
Backup copies of the persistent data files and configuration file is stored in a sub folder 'backup' under the persistent store folder. Each of the three file types are stored with their respective name followed by a backup set number. The numbers are:
1: Stored a little after startup
2: Stored at ConSys device shutdown
3: Stored instead of store to active files and backup files in case setup file check number was not read in correct
101-110: Stored once every 24 hour
201-210: Stored at most changes in the setup
