The Institute of Nuclear Research (ATOMKI) of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences will be organizing the 2008 Annual Conference on Radiation Damage in Biomolecular Systems (RADAM 2008) in Debrecen (pdf), Hungary from 13th-15th June, 2008. The Centre of Arts and Humanities and Sciences of the University of Debrecen and the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical and Health Center of the University of Debrecen are co-organizers of the conference.

RADAM 2008 is a continuation of the conference series, launched in 2004, as the major conference of the European Science Foundation (ESF) Cooperation in Science & Technology (COST) Action in Physics P9 - Radiation Damage in Biomolecular Systems. This series of conferences seeks to promote the dissemination and exchange of scientific knowledge in the field of radiation effects in biomolecules.

With this announcement we would like to encourage the broadest participation of the worldwide RADAM community. The scientific program will cover the most recent developments in the broader field of RADAM physics. RADAM 2008 will take place from the 13th to the 15th of June 2008 at the Headquarters of the Debrecen Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

We look forward to seeing you in Hungary in June 2008.
