ISA meeting

Week 6, February 5, 2002.

Status of the ring: Yesterday we replaced the two motors which move the RF cavity plungers. When examined afterwards, the old motors showed a lot of wear. The new motors, however, have not led to the expected improvement in injection efficiency, so we will continue to try to find the reason we cannot inject higher currents. The RF system is still the main suspect, but we will try various other things as well over the next days.

Beamlines: On the SX-700, a channeltron failed last week. The mono was opened, and the channeltron replaced. On the UV1, various new vacuum components have been installed, and it is now ready to run again.

The detailed schedule for this run can be seen on the www: http://www.isa.au.dk/schedule/02SRRun.htm
