ISA meeting

Week 18, May 1, 2001.

Status of the ring: The bakeout of the ring last week went well, and the vacuum is very good, with the average vacuum in the ring being about 4*10-11 mbar.
Yesterday, there was a faulty leak valve at the gas charge exchange cell, which caused the vacuum in the injection beamline and EBIS to go up to 10-2 mbar. Fortunately, the gas which entered the system was pure Argon, so a bakeout is not required..
The detectors in corner 4 have been mounted, and are now being baked..
The schedule for the coming ion run may be seen on http://www.isa.au.dk/schedule/2001ionrun1.htm .
