ISA meeting

Week 39, September 28, 1999.

Status of the ring: As usual, the ring has been running well during the past week. Currents are typically 140-150 mA, with lifetimes often in excess of 40 hours.

The SGM 3 gratings are still not here. The manufacturer had greater problems than expected, so the delivery time is now unknown.

The EBIS: Later this week, a separator beam will be injected, and hopefully also extracted. We plan to start with Lithium.

ELISA is getting ready for a continuation of the Ba- run.

The Tesla FEL project in Hamburg, in which ISA will take part, has been evaluated with respect to the amount of manpower ISA has to provide. It is estimated to be about 10 man-years over the next 2-3 years.
