Week 35, August 31, 1999.

Status of the ring: We hope the quadrupole-supply problems are finally solved. The cause of instabilities was found to be a control card, which was changed this morning. Otherwise, we have been able to inject over 150 mA the past few days, still with very good lifetime.

The new UV-1 beamline is still waiting for the grating to arrive. Users are already queuing up to use it!

The unduline has finished its run with ions. It has been running very well.The undulator will now be used for SGM-2, which will have its new mirror mechanism mounted this week.
