ISA meeting

Week 24, June 15 1999.

Status of the ring: The run for LHA et al last week went very well. We ended up running Ne2+, and the group got very nice data.
This week we have started lifetime studies for TA et al. We are now running CO2-, and will run other negative ions later in the week.

The EBIS is getting ready: The motor generator has been mounted again.

ELISA is now getting ready for lifetime studies on Ba-, produced via the charge exchange cell.

Dr. Jochen Schneider from DESY visited IFA/ISA Monday, and gave an interesting talk on a large FEL-project, in which ISA may play a role in constructing some of the elements.

Synchrotron radiation in Archaeometry is the subject of a workshop at Daresbury in November 1999. More info on http://srs.dl.ac.uk/arch/index.htm
