ISA meeting

Week 21, May 25 1999.

Status of the ring: Last week we started running O3- for the electron-cooler group. The cold cathode source was used, and it produced a good O3- beam, more than 100 nA. Unfortunately, later in the week, the source broke (it is made of glass), so we tried to continue with the sputter source, but were unable to produce sufficient current for acceleration. We then switched to F2- from the sputter source, which went well.
This morning, we have started preparations for the H-/D- run for PB et al, using the duoplasmatron source. This run will continue for the next two weeks.

The scheduled backup of the SQL server was started this morning. It will finish some time later today.
