ISA meeting

Week 25, June 16, 1998.

Status of the ring: After we started running again last Thursday, we set up a HDO+ beam for the electron cooler group. They were successful in obtaining data, and the results look very interesting. This week, we are running D- at a few MeV for PB. This run is so far going well.

The EBIS was opened today, to solve a problem concerning a small leakage current between the collector and ground, which gives difficulties at high acceleration voltages. It should be assembled and running again, when Leif Liljeby comes to visit us in the beginning of July.

Backup of ISA workstations is not being made, due to various net problems. For more information, see the email from TW.

The ring hall should be kept tidy, and everybody is asked to put tools and other equipment back where it belongs after use.

Vacation and other absence by ISA staff must be reported to Ruth, who will keep the vacation planner in our meeting room up to date.
